The Story & Inspiration Behind Ihsan App.

It all started during a life-changing trip to Malaysia. I was visiting a school for Rohingya refugee children when something profound happened. I watched as children, who our hearts had grown so attached to and we had become so inspired from, raise their hands and made dua in the rain, confidently asking Allah to reunite them with us in Jannah.

They were certain, not only that their duas would be answered but that the rain was the sign of Allah’s merrcy—the perfect moment to ask. The weight of their belief in that moment struck me deeply.

I realized that these children, despite their hardships, had an unparalleled connection to Allah, and they took advantage of every moment to seek His mercy. In that moment, I longed for the same awareness- to recognize and act on those sacred moments in everyday life.

The Simple Group Chat That Led to Ihsan.

When I returned home on a Friday before the last hour of Asr, I wished I could remind my friends to seize this powerful moment for du’a. Realizing others might benefit too, I started a small group chat to share reminders of divine opportunities. After posting about it on Instagram, the response was overwhelming.

What began as a few friends quickly grew into a community of 50, all uplifting each other with timely reminders—when it rains, during Jummah’s final hour, and other sacred moments.

What Problems Was Ihsan Created To Solve?

We all strive for excellence in faith, but it can feel out of reach—something reserved for the most pious. Many of us struggle with feelings of inadequacy, especially in the West, where reminders of Islam aren’t always around us. This can lead to discouragement, spiritual burnout, and a sense of distance from Allah.

But this struggle isn’t individual—it’s collective. As we grow spiritually, we uplift our community and, ultimately, the ummah. The key is making Allah a constant presence in our lives, always remembering that He is closer than our jugular vein.
